Happy New Year!

This is at Paul’s house with all the food on the table and Sarah in her red dress! I love how this picture has so much going on, the shadows from the ceiling lamp that looks Moroccan in the back, and all the detail it has.

Well the year is finally over! I am so glad we did this project Alyssa. I learned so much from just keeping my camera out and available, getting bored with the same old pictures, and wanting to experiment with all of the settings our camera came equipped with. Over the year we got tons of nature pictures, pictures of people, and random ones with my under water bag, bees covered in bubbles, and of course so many kitchen and cooking oriented shots. I think the project also kept us closer as friends and more motivated to complete it with someone else to preserver with. I’m glad to take a little break for now, but maybe doing monthly challenges could be fun in a little bit. So next time you come down we need to have a showing of our best photos to our families and whoever wants to come and see them! I’ll talk to you soon!

We drove up to IMAX to pick up tickets to see Avatar. We’re goin to see it with everyone on Jan. 2 because it was sold out until then! I thought of this picture as a color field shot, it’s of the contraption thing in front of the theater and next to the super cool sciency store with space ice cream, quartz rocks, and dinosaur toys!

I caught him sleeping today… well half sleeping. I love the lighting in this photo that’s why it won for today. I think this is one of my favorite pictures of the whole project I wish I had gotten it with my film camera for my photo class final.

Movies!!!

Went to the movies with the fam today. Got this picture on the way out. I actually really like it.

Fun day! Panther alumni lacrosse game – worked the registration table, took pictures, hung out with cool parents, laughed at the kids from my grade who didn’t even recognize me ahaha. The game was so exciting! Then I hung out with Alyssa, went to some stores and got a new candle, then made dinner at her apt. Yum!

Oh man Alyssa, congrats on your new camera! I had to get a picture of it, along with stuff to show that we had a cooking and baking night… as usual haha. For all you millions of readers… or maybe just three of you, we made vegetable soup, chicken with carmelized onions with thyme and fettucini, and banana bread!

Best Christmas ever! Got an amazing new camera so of course after we are done watching Willie open presents (haha) I went out in the backyard to try it out. The bokeh is so much nicer with the new camera/lens

This is Scott and Sandy’s youngest. Paul and I went to their Christmas party after presents and dinner at his aunt’s house. But I love this picture because it is so candid, when most of my photos aren’t.
